My Caption Is Too Long? Platform Caption Requirements.

Captions on social media are an important tool to help engage your audience and get your brands message across. It is important to make sure you follow the cation requirements so your caption doesn't get cut off. 

Here are the caption requirements for a few social media platforms!

Instagram

Length: 2,200 characters 

Format: You can use line breaks, hashtags, mentions, and emoji's 

Facebook

Length: 63,206 characters 

Format: You can use line breaks, URLs, hashtags, mentions, and emoji's

X

Length: 280 characters 

Format: You can use URLs, hashtags, mentions, and emoji's

LinkedIn

Length: 3,000 characters 

Format: You can use line breaks, URLs, hashtags, mentions, and emoji's

Even though some of these platforms allow for long captions you should still try to keep your captions shorter to capture you audiences attention!
