Why Is My Connection Expired?

Flamel.ai uses access tokens to connect to your social accounts. Social networks provide these tokens. When an access token expires or becomes invalid, you must reconnect your social account to Flamel.ai. Doing this generates a new token.
Each of the social media networks have their own policies and security measures meant to keep its users’ accounts and data secure. When a social network identifies certain actions on an account, it forces the account's token to expire, which causes the account to disconnect from Flamel.ai.
Flamel.ai, along with all other third party providers, is subject to these security measures. They are often more stringent for third parties than what you may experience using the social network itself. While it can be a frustrating thing to do with, it's for the safety of you and your account's data.
Here are some common reasons why your connection might expire:
- You’ve been connected for 2 months (this is normal—your connection will expire every so often for your security)
- You changed your social account password
- Suspicious login attempts were detected (for example, from a new location)
- Flamel.ai doesn’t have all the permissions it needs
- A social account detects a security issue on your account
- A social account suspects spammy behavior on your account (for example, you’re posting too frequently or posting repetitive content)
Simply navigate to your Profile Settings. Under the 'Social Accounts' section, you'll see which of your connected accounts has expired. From there, click the 'Refresh Login' button to re-connect your account and keep posting awesome content!
