Understanding your analytics is key to improving performance. Below is a glossary of key terms you’ll see in Flamel’s Paid Ads dashboard, with plain-language definitions.
📊 Core MetricsImpressions
The number of times your ad was displayed on screen (not necessarily clicked).
Reach
The number of unique people who saw your ad.
Clicks
Total number of times your ad was clicked (includes all types: links, CTAs, profile taps, etc.).
Link Clicks
Clicks that took users to your designated URL (your website, landing page, etc.).
CTR (Click-Through Rate)
The percentage of impressions that resulted in a click.
Formula: (Clicks ÷ Impressions) × 100
CPC (Cost Per Click)
Average cost you paid for each click.
Formula: Spend ÷ Clicks
CPM (Cost Per 1,000 Impressions)
The average cost to show your ad 1,000 times.
Formula: (Spend ÷ Impressions) × 1,000
Frequency
The average number of times each person saw your ad.
Formula: Impressions ÷ Reach
Spend
Total amount spent on the campaign or ad set during the selected time frame.
Conversions
Actions you’ve defined as valuable (e.g. form fills, purchases, calls), tracked through Meta Pixel or custom events.
Cost per Result
Average amount spent per conversion or result.
ROAS (Return on Ad Spend)
Revenue generated divided by ad spend.
Formula: Revenue ÷ Spend
Only available if revenue tracking is set up.
Campaign
The top-level container for your objective and budget.
Ad Set
Controls targeting, budget allocation, and schedule.
Ad
The creative itself—your image, video, text, CTA, and destination.
Parent Ad
A master ad created at the franchisor level to be automatically customized and deployed to local locations.
Location Ad
A local variation of a parent ad, either customized by the franchisee or automatically generated.
Daily Performance
Data broken down by day for metrics like spend, clicks, impressions, etc. Helps identify spikes or drop-offs.
Date Range
The time period selected in the Flamel dashboard. Affects which data is displayed.
Facebook Performance
Metrics from ads served on Facebook placements (Feed, Marketplace, Stories, etc.).
Instagram Performance
Metrics from ads served on Instagram placements (Feed, Stories, Reels, etc.).
Performance by Placement
A breakdown showing how your ad performed on each Meta surface (e.g., Facebook Feed vs. Instagram Stories).
